Expect The Best . . .
Do you expect the best for your pet? Is he your companion, your best friend, or a member of your family? Your pet’s health is a priority. Since the staff at Siskiyou Veterinary Hospital understands the joy pets bring to our lives, we advocate the best possible care for our patients. We enjoy caring for your cats and dogs.
In Terms You Understand . . .
With our modern medical diagnostic equipment, we can perform digital x-rays, ECG, ultrasound, and in- house blood analysis. We are capable of sending x-rays by telemedicine, aiding us in making prompt accurate diagnosis of your pet’s condition. We interpret this medical information into terms you can understand.
For Your Convenience . . .
We are available at 7:45 a.m. for admitting surgery patients. We have extended office hours on Saturdays - we are open until 4:00.
When Surgery Is Needed . . .
We understand that you may be apprehensive about anesthetic or surgery. We will treat your pet like a member of our own family. Pre-anesthetic blood tests are like a window to the pet’s internal organs, and can help us reduce the risks of anesthesia. An intravenous catheter provides immediate access to a vein in case of complications. Fluids help restore blood volume after witholding food and water.
Surgeries are routinely scheduled Monday through Friday. For most anesthetic procedures, we ask that you withhold food and water after 8:00 the night before surgery.
In Case Of Emergency . . .
During office hours, call us and immediately tell the receptionist you have an emergency. Your call will be given priority. One of our trained support staff will determine the urgency of your pet’s condition.
After office hours, call the Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Clinic at (541) 282-7711. They are staffed 24/7 with emergency care veterinarians. They are located at 3265 Biddle Rd, near the airport.
Because Your Time is Valuable . . .
We ask you to call to schedule appointments. This helps us keep your waiting time to a minimum. Sometimes an emergency occurs, or care of a sick pet takes longer than planned. We appreciate your patience when we are not able to see you on time.
For your pet’s safety, we ask that all pets be on leash or in a carrier.
Slumber Party Time!
We offer boarding as a service to our clients and patients only. You are welcome to bring your pet’s own bedding, food and toys to help him or her feel more comfortable while staying at Camp Siskiyou. Please call early, since we have very limited space available for boarding.
